Hour Twenty-Three: Curtain Time

It's finally that time, everyone. A full day of work has led to the creation of six never before thought of plays. We're at curtain time. The masses are flooding the theatre for an excellent treat. There's something for everyone. We have comedies, surrealism, political commentary, irony, and just overall amazing theatre. Each play is entertaining in its own right, but only through understanding how they were made can one truly appreciate them. That's my opinion. I feel tired and exhausted, and I've not even been under the sort of stress that the actors and crew have felt all day

Any moment now, Peter Ellenstein will take the stage for some final words. Oh! Here he is.

(This picture is actually from earlier in the evening, but I felt it appropriate.)

"Welcome to the 9th Annual 24 Hour plays for college students," he says. "We have eight different schools here working together. We should teach cooperation and not just competition. You can build a lot more." He gives the standard warning, "There will be failures. Lines will be forgotten, but in this you'll find moments of genuine and touching theatre."

He's giving all the great people who made this possible their credit. Marcia, Ryan, Bruce, and Hannah, you're all amazing.

Lights are going down. Talk to you soon, readers.
